Sophia Foundations Information

Dear Learner:

🥳 Congratulations on taking the next step in your education journey! We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of your education and now that you’re enrolled, we’d like to share some important program information:

• You have 365 days to finish the Sophia Foundations program once you've completed 50% of an assessment in your first course. You will be able to see your deadline on your Sophia account homepage. Aim to complete each course in 2 months or less to complete your program before the deadline.
• You will always access Sophia from your Workforce Edge Dashboard. After logging into Workforce Edge, click Sophia and you’ll be redirected to Sophia via single sign on. If you separate from Walmart you will receive an email with instructions for how to access your account directly with Sophia instead of through Workforce Edge.

Sophia Learning Coaches

Learning Coaches are customer support representatives who can assist with:

• Technical support
• Providing troubleshooting help with things like typing patterns
• Any questions about navigating the Sophia platform or transcript requests

Sophia Academic Instructors

Academic Instructors are professors who provide academic support. Each Sophia Foundations course has a dedicated Academic Instructor who can:

• Provide 1:1 tutoring and grant assessment resets
• Help explain course content and share supplemental instructional resources
• Give general academic guidance and coaching
• Your Academic Instructor will proactively reach out to you (be on the lookout for their welcome email and text when you begin a course!) but you can also contact them by:

  • Text: Each instructor will text you when you begin a course to provide their number

Workforce Edge Success Coaches

Success Coaches are experts in your Walmart Live Better U Education Benefit who can help you get enrolled in the program and can:

• Answer any questions you have about your Walmart Live Better U Benefit
• Assist in making a pathway switch within the Sophia Foundations program
• Explain your program options and help you decide which program to enroll in next
• Troubleshoot issues or questions with the Workforce Edge login and platform
