The stem is like a pipe where the minerals from water and soil and glucose energy food from the leaf travels throughout the plant to help it grow. The stem also supports the plant which can be a stem of a small daisy flower or a stem or trunk of a giant tree.

We know that roots absorb the water and minerals from the soil, but how? Tiny hairs on the roots help with that. The leftover minerals and water are also stored for later. The roots also helps "anchor" the plant so that the plant does not fall over.

The leaf has a major role in a plant. It absorbs sunlight in photosynthesis creating food for the plant called glucose. A stomata found inside of a leaf also produces oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor into the air.

The flower has many functions. Not only does it produce pollen for bees to collect, but also for most plants it helps create more of that plant called reproduction. Some plant's flowers contain seeds that either fall from the wind, from bees collecting, or just naturally fall into the dirt.
