Distributive Property

Author: Natasha Moua

Introduction/Anticipatory Set

The distributive property can be used in many ways.  It’s the beginning steps of breaking things down.  For example, learning, making friends, teaching, helping, and playing are all related to school.  Also, recess is related to play, fun, school, sports, friends, and a break.  Using this way of thinking, we will apply this to numbers and learn the distributive property.
