Tree Diagram - a method of displaying the probability of independent events occurring
Complement - The complement of an event is that event not occurring, meaning the opposite of a favorable outcome. The complement is anything that could happen other than what we're looking for
Dependent events - the occurrence of one event changes the probability a second occurs
Independent events - if one event happens, it does not affect the probability that the second happens
The title kinda sums it up
A little example of how to make a tree diagram with independent events
This time, we're using dependent events instead of the independent event coin toss example
Note: about a minute in i say 99% have it and 1% don't; disregard this i meant the opposite. The tree diagram is accurate but what i say then isn't.
