5.2 Use Linear Equations in Slope-Intercept Form

Author: Jackie L.

First I will give a description of how to actually do these kinds of problems.

Now let's see if we can apply it to an equation.

Above, I only gave a section of how to, if you would like to learn the rest of it, keep going.

Although they may not be phrased quite as clearly, word problems use linear equation set-ups quite frequently.

This is extra information that is not needed for the steps above. It will be helpful in the long run though.

5.2 Practicing Skills

In this powerpoint you will find a series of questions that pertain to the lesson that was just explained, and then the answers to those questions on the next slide. The way it is set up is so that you can practice the newly learned skills, and then check to see if you fully understand how to do them. It is not timed, so you may take as much time as you need to complete the problems. Thank you for visiting my packet, and I hope it was useful!

Here is a link to a fun basketball game that includes slope-intercept formatting. There are a few other things in there, but I believe I showed how to do them at the bottom of my lesson.
