We demonstrate population sampling techniques by investigating whether the number of buttercups in a chosen field differed from the top of the hill to the bottom.
We took samples from two 10m x 10m plots and, using quadrats, recorded the number of buttercups. We also measured light intensity, air temperature, humidity, wind velocity and took soil samples.
